Suction measurement has a vital role in unsaturated soil analysis. However, measuring suction remains challenging task due to number of issues such as the limited range measurement, cavitation, or long equilibrium time. It is even more when be carried on field. Hence, development new device which able measure high for duration without tedious maintenance and yet portable enough site required. In this study, sensor referred NTU Osmotic Tensiometer was developed along with method correct decay temperature. The osmotic tensiometer based polymer swelling capacity order in-situ real time very duration. requires minimum polymer-based not affected by cavitation phenomenon. correction temperature paramount importance therefore explained paper. Verification out comparing field results from small tip tensiometer. performance found comparable that tensiometer, but than 100 kPa suction. Therefore, it possible obtain soil-water characteristic curve combining measured water content moisture illustrated
